Title

Henry Hudson Drive Closed in NJ Section of Palisades

Body

As repair work continues from the severe fallen trees and rocks storm damage that occurred during the recent winter storms, Henry Hudson Drive ("River Drive") remains CLOSED and is impassable to all vehicles, bicycles, and pedestrians.

Alpine Approach Road (connecting Rt. 9W/PIP Exit 2 to Alpine Boat Basin & Picnic Area) remains closed this week; we hope to reopen it by next week (March 15).

PIPC plans to reopen the southern part of Hudson Drive (from the southern park entrance in Fort Lee to Dyckman Hill in Englewood Cliffs) in early April. The northern part of the Drive (Dyckman Hill to Alpine Approach Road that is usually closed during the winter) will re-open in mid-April.

Dyckman Hill Road (connecting Palisade Ave. in Englewood Cliffs to Englewood Boat Basin & Picnic Area) is open daylight hours, conditions permitting. Please note: bicycles are not permitted on the upper part of this roadway.

Updates will be posted at www.njpalisades.org when available.
