Volunteer leaders are the backbone of the Trail Conference. Whether they’re guiding a group of new trail maintainers on how to spruce up old trail markers as a Trail Supervisor or working with staff and park partners to coordinate a major trail project as a Trail Chair, our volunteer leaders are a critical part of the planning and execution of all the work the Trail Conference does.
This event gives you the chance to come out and learn about what the role entails, what opportunities are available, and how to get involved. Our staff and a group of our Volunteer Leaders will be on hand to answer all of your questions and to share their experiences with you. After our volunteer leader presentations, all are welcome to join us for a hike around Sterling Lake in Sterling Forest State Park while learning about volunteer opportunities at the Trail Conference.
