 This
year's the hike had an unexpected feature. The Torrey family showed up
in force, four grandsons or grandson-in-laws, one great granddaughter
and a Torrey dog, shown at left with our own Meyer Kukle who is the
only known living Conference member to have met Raymond Torrey.
Coincidentally the web played a part in this reunion as they found out
about the Conference doing genealogical research.
This was Meyer's last year of leading the hike. He has turned the
reins over to Jules Orkin.
