Directions
From the Beacon Newburgh Bridge: Immediately after paying toll at bridge, you'll find the ramp for Route 9D on the right. Take the ramp and at the light make a left onto Route 9D. Proceed on Route 9D for approximately 4 miles until you arrive at the hamlet of Hughsonville (There is a four way intersection with a traffic light. There is also a Metro North sign for New Hamburg). Make a left at the light onto New Hamburg Rd./County Route 28. Proceed on this road for approximately 1 mile. At the end of Route 28, make a right turn onto Main Street. Proceed up the hill, where Main Street becomes Channingville Road, and shortly after the firehouse and deli on the left is Sheafe Road. Turn left onto Sheafe Road and proceed for approximately 1 mile to the Bowdoin Park entrance on the left.

Train Directions
The Metro-North Railroad provides service from Grand Central to New Hamburg seven days a week (GPS Coordinates for train station: 41.586791, -73.947459). Walk 1.1 miles to Bowdoin Park Office.
Park Overview
Set on the banks of the Hudson, this scenic park has trails, playing fields, picnicking and lodging facilities.
Trail Overview
The park offers a 7-mile network of marked trails plus woods roads, some of them in hilly (even steep) terrain, while others are around the developed areas. The yellow trail is one that meanders through a wild and scenic portion of Bowdoin Park; short boardwalks are constructed into two widely separated small ponds. Wappinger Greenway Trail enters the park off Channingville Road and ultimately turns south, co-aligned with Bowdoin Park trails. For a walking map of the Wappinger Greenway Trail that includes Bowdoin Park use the hiking trails link below under "Directions."

Park Description
Part of the Dutchess County Park System, the park is on rolling terrain with simply stunning views of the Hudson River. Its many public facilities include hiking trails, an exceptional cross-country course, picnic pavilions, cabins and playing fields.
